Our Namibian photography safari explores the wild and beautiful northern deserts of Namibia, immediately following the brief Namibian rains. Led by leading UK wilderness photographer Colin Prior, we journey to some of Namibia’s most remote and beautiful photographic locations. A photography holiday in Namibia is often restricted to the more popular touristic regions, however this Namibian photography safari is very different – exploring well off the beaten track and traveling to Namibia’s remote far north and using the local knowledge of skilled local guides and trackers to locate rare desert wildlife in its natural habitat.
Colin has worked extensively in the world’s remote regions and his photography in Namibia has been published in his most recent book The World’s Wild Places.
The Himba people of northern Namibia feature in his earlier book Living Tribes. This is a Namibian photography holiday in style! Our camps in the remote northern valleys and are completely organised for you, with all the comforts possible in the bush – delicious 3-course meals around blazing camp fires, hot showers, wash hand basins, spacious tents with comfortable mattresses. Chilled wines and beers are served with meals each evening.
Photography equipment may be recharged from the camp’s vehicles and portable generators.
