Spend a week with Colin on the remote peninsula of Knoydart and develop your photography skills.

Based at Doune in a Scandinavian style wilderness lodge, ouritinerary will take us to the varied landscape of Rhum, Eigg and Skyeon our boat, the Mary Doune. There will also be opportunities tophotograph wildlife, including, seals, sea birds, porpoise and minkewhales.

Our photography holidays are not classified by technical requirements as our small group sizes means that Colin is able to offer one-to-one coaching, enabling you to improve your photography regardless of your starting skill level. The holiday is intended to be a combination between relaxation and expert photography tuition / learning.

We recommend that you have a reasonable level of fitness to join these trips, as each day will involve some walking to the photography destinations. Participants must be able to carry their own camera bags and be comfortable working in remote locations. If weather conditions are suitable, we may climb, a small mountain (497m), which offers one of the best viewpoints in the Cullins. An alternative low level walk around Loch Coruisk is available for those not wanting to participate in the climb.

As a guide to fitness, you should be able to comfortably walk or hike, with your camera equipment, for a few hours each day. These will generally be low level hikes but the underfoot terrain may be rough in places with no discernable path and muddy or rocky sections.

It is your own responsibility to ensure that you are physically fit enough to join the trip. Please note, however that you can opt not to join any particular day and remain back at the guest house for a rest day if you prefer - it is a lovely place to relax.

If you have any questions regarding your suitability for this trip, please contact us.
