Colin, I really enjoyed the course and despite having severe damage to my knee ligaments, (gained weeks before the course – and certainly felt on Monday) the wee walk up the hill on Sunday morning, with all the chat and sharing of experience was great fun.  You are a natural teacher and your approach was really good.  I learnt a lot and you have filled some deep gaps, so many thanks for your help and time.

Just a quick note to say a very big thank you for a spectacular week in Skye and Kintail. It was a pleasure being able to learn from yourself, and put it into practice in such stunning scenery. I had a really great time, so much so that coming back to London was not very nice! I am craving the open space and wilderness.

I hope that I will be able to keep up the inspiration you gave me, and keep getting out there taking photos. I have plans to set up my website in the next few months, so perhaps that will give me the kick I need.

Very many thanks for your patience and inspirational teaching in the beautiful landscape of Kintail and Skye. I have learnt to look into the landscape rather than at it, and I hope my technique has improved as well; although having seen the fantastic images on your calendar, my wife says that I have a long way to go!

Thanks very much for last weekend at Dunkeld, I thoroughly enjoyed it and my appetite was well and truly whetted. The photographs you showed me inspired me and through the course I learned to look very closely at what is in front of me. Having reviewed my pix again and again I can see areas I missed and further opportunities so that is what learning is about I guess. I'll give it my best for a while and, you never know, I might just sign up for a Knoydart in the future, that looks fantastic and I have yet to venture into that area in quest of the Munros. Anyway thanks again Colin and all the best for the future,
